This Santa on a bicycle ornament comes with a loop for hanging. Measures approximately 4" long. Santa is hand-painted. The story behind the art: women in the villages in Kenya, near Kitui, are educated and trained on the handmade craft of recycling the dried fiber of banana plants, which would normally be discarded. They use their talents to transform the banana fiber into new, eco-friendly art forms. First, the banana fiber is dried, and then a light varnish is applied. The varnish on the banana fiber, with its many shades of brown, resembles textured tortoiseshell. Once the process is complete, the artisans cut the fiber into strips to make one-of-a-kind goods. Made in Kenya
I absolutely love the RE Place. It’s got this refillery section that’s all taps so you can bring your own container to refill with soap, shampoo, laundry detergent and dish soap.
The rest of the store is filled with eco friendly items that are package free. I like their mission of one step towards a better planet.
